SOPHOMORE YEAR PROGRAM
The Sophomore Year Program builds upon the FYI program and serves to further connect students with all the resources Beloit College offers.
The Sophomore Year Program continues the close interaction between students and their FYI professor/advisor, but the strategies differ from that of the First-Year Initiatives. Students work more independently while receiving specific support from faculty and staff as they select their major/s and minor; evaluate off-campus study options; and investigate experiential learning opportunities, like internships and research. To facilitate the decision making process, the College plans a series of programs and events to make it a serious, meaningful, and well-thought-out process.
