"It's fun to be an international student at Beloit. Students look up to you because you come from a different background - they value that in you..." read more

Rich in its history as a premier liberal arts college, Beloit College is equally rich in its international commitment. Founded in 1846 as the first private college in Wisconsin, it was within its first decade that Beloit enrolled citizens from countries outside the U.S., first among them Hans and Peter Hendrickson, brothers from Norway, followed soon after by Gregory Michaelian from Turkey, and by Ching Y Tang from China. Today, nearly 10% of Beloit’s students are citizens of over 40 foreign countries, and they have discovered the world from this small city in the midwestern United States.
